Pereira Fishing's main operating field is the Namibian coast along the Benguela current with its richness of best quality fish. We catch the fish with the latest economical standards, processes onboard and deep freeze our products onboard as well. That ensures the best quality right from the beginning. We are an international group of companies with presence in 3 continents. We offer our product to wholesalers, retailers, hypermarkets and retails facilities, hotel chains and restaurants.



Pereira Group today's aim
Now at the moment Pereira Seafood is participated by Pereira Fishing, Blue Sea Fishing and Hatutungu Fishing.
We furthermore managing and operating the fishing vessel Green Sea on behalf Omalulu Pty. Ltd.
The development of all this years help us to complement other factories that the group have around the World as in Argentina, Falkland, St. Helena, Senegal and in Spain to reach all the finest markets around the world.
Pereira Fishing Goals and Objectives are the improvement of our employee’s socio-economic position, continuously Namibianise the fishing fleet, to encourage the constant upgrading of our fleet and to continue to developing our human resources, now called our “human capital” to the best of their abilities.

Pereira Fishing started operations...
...in Namibia in the year 1998, with the acquisition of the company Blue Sea Fishing, this company had at that time one vessel, Blue Sea I. The vessel was out of operations and after a big repairs started to operate again at the middle of the 1998.
In the year 2000, the shareholders of the Company decided to combine their funds and invest in an industrial property in Walvis Bay. The old factory of Oceana was acquired. This substantial investment in property on-shore, ensures further employment opportunities for Namibian citizens.
Meanwhile, Blue Sea fishing started to collaborate with the government in the Research trip from the year 2001, also we bought another vessel in the year 2002, Green Sea, to help the Blue Sea I and also two long liners, Swordbridge and Oceanicbridge.
At the same time; Pereira Fishing bought a property in Walvis Bay together with other local partners. That was the beginning of the development onshore with the factory of value adding and the Coldstore to support this factory and to give more facilities to other companies.
Since 2012, Pereira Fishing is operating the MV Itungwehe to catch mainly Monkfish. In 2016 the MV Kativo were bought to meet the increasing demand and supports the Itungwehe.
A new concrete jetty was commissioned in June 2016. With its 60m length and 15m witdth, it offers space for 4 medium size vessels or 2 trawlers with simultaneous on and offloading capabilities.
The development of all this years help us to complement other factories that the group have around the World as in Argentina, Falkland, St. Helena, Senegal and in Spain to reach all the finest markets around the world.
